Women Empowerment through Self Employment

Due to scarcity of water in this region, double cropping is not possible. As a result, the men in the house need to go to urban areas in search of labour work for the remaining year. The Trust provides a few vocational trainings tothe women in these villages to enable them toearnforthemselves from theirhomes.
Poultry Farming, stitching traditional blankets & bags, conkerberry pickle, hand pounded rice are the areas where the Trust providestraining for the women.
Under the project of poultry farming, 10 women farmers are selected who get 25 birds each. A Volunteer is appointed to mentor and help these poultry farmers. As a result, these women farmers are able to earn a livelihood for themselves without leaving the responsibility of theirhomes.
